This would be sold as blank graphite and a rod builder other than Sage added the handle and components. The only time a serial number would not be present is if there is an obvious “B” in the Sage logo. I highly suggest you use a flashlight to aid you and finding this. This will start with an A followed by a second capital letter, followed by five numbers. The serial number will be dead center of the Sage logo about a quarter turn downwards under the logo.
